Dr. Suzuki’s idea of the triangle (teacher/parent/student) is key to success at NYC Talent education. With mutual cooperation and instruction, learning the violin should be fun and rewarding! Thus parents are asked to be a part of every lesson so that they can help with home practice. Home practice is fundamental to success and students are asked to only practice on days that you eat!

Violin Club

Violin club is NYCTE’s after school group program! All instruction is in a group setting, with class sizes no bigger than 10 students at once. Students start on foam or paper violins, and progress to real instruments as their technical readiness allows. The small group instruction gives students ample access to the instructor’s attention, while simultaneously building ensemble awareness.

We ask students to commit to one semester, with beginner classes starting each new semester, depending on interest.
